History - Elemental reminders
cast upon the shore,
A message from a tree well lived and long gone.
that seems to fit,
With a long history of its own.
The small slab of steel
remainder from a long-gone project,
A distant artwork participant.
The rock that almost fit
remains apart, yet part of the whole.
A pleasing conglomeration, memories of lives lived.
What was your inspiration for this piece?
Wood- a piece of driftwood that seemed to have something within waiting to be revealed.
And then finding that what was revealed was a combination of "somethings," begging to be one thing- an explanation of their individual histories in a new context.
